Dance Floor Size Recommendations
Having a tented wedding or other special event? No need to miss out on all the fun and dancing... Rent a Dance Floor and give your guests a great surface and start the party jumpin!
With a variety of sizes and options we can help you make sure you have the right dance floor for your occasion. We offer wood-look, all-white, all-black, even black-and-white checkered options.
Here's how to calculate the minimum size dance floor rental:Usually we expect 1/3 of your guests will be dancing at a given time. Multiply that by six-square-feet per person to estimate the square feet of dance space you will need. For example, if you have 60 guests, expect 20 dancing, with a need for 120 square feet of dance floor space, giving you a 10’ x 12’ Dance Floor.
Guest Count* | Dancers* | Square Footage | Floor Size** |
---|---|---|---|
25 | 10 | 64 | 8' x 8' |
50 | 15 | 96 | 8' x 12' |
75 | 25 | 144 | 12' x 12' |
100 | 30 | 192 | 12' x 16' |
125 | 45 | 256 | 16' x 16' |
150 | 50 | 320 | 16' x 20' |
200 | 65 | 400 | 20' x 20' |
250 | 80 | 480 | 20' x 24' |
275 | 100 | 576 | 24' x 24' |
325 | 115 | 672 | 24' x 28' |
400 | 130 | 784 | 28' x 28' |
450 | 150 | 896 | 28' x 32' |
500 | 175 | 1024 | 32' x 32' |
Additionally, we recommend dance space be kept separate from seating space. You don’t want to hold up the fun while someone is enjoying their meal.
